class structure and schedule
Each week we will have a visitor present an overview of their work along with a project showing how they worked with a graphic designer. The presentation will be followed by a student-conducted interview and group Q&A. Mostly the visits will take place virtually via the the internet, but we may also visit one or two Los Angeles-based offices in person.

4:30 - 5:00 housekeeping and tech set-up
5:00 - 6:00/6:15 visitor presentation, interview, q+a
6:15 - 7:00 closing discussion

The week before each visitor you’ll be given a small amount of readings and or viewings to familiarize yourself with the work of the upcoming visitor.
Each week one student will be assigned to:
· introduce the visitor
· conduct the interview
· moderate discussion between class and visitor
· document the visit and include describe a fantasy project ximagined as a collaboration with the visitor. Needs to be in a form that can be added to the website: A pdf or quicktime. (under 7mb)
how your grade will be assessed:
Aside from attendance your documentation provides evidence that you achieved the goals. Specifically, here's what your documentation needs to show in order for me to know that you have achieved these goals:
Your fantasy project shows that you have ideas about and understand ways you might collaborate with another discipline
Your project documentation shows that you understand what another discipline does
Your documentation shows that you also know how to tell the story of what another discipline does.
